We're a small, owner-operated electrical business based in Eagleby, Queensland. When you get in touch with us, you trust us with your name, your number and your home address. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can see, fix or delete it.
What we collect
Your contact details: your name, phone number, email address and the address of the property.
Your answers to our forms: for example, whether you already have solar, your timing, your budget range, the type of home, and anything else you'd like help with.
How you found us: if you arrive from one of our ads, the ad's name and a click reference that the ad platform adds to the link.
Job details: quotes, photos of the work, test results, compliance certificates, invoices and payments.
Messages and calls: emails, texts and notes from our conversations. Phone calls with us are recorded, so we get the details of your job right and can check back on what was agreed.
Referral program details: if you join our referral program, your account details, the people you refer and the rewards you earn.
Website information: cookies and similar technology record things like the pages you visit and your browser type (see "Cookies and advertising" below).
Why we collect it
To contact you about your enquiry and book a site visit.
To design, quote, schedule and complete your work, and to issue compliance paperwork.
To invoice you and keep the records the law requires.
To look after you after the job: check-ins, warranty work and support.
To run our referral program.
To measure which of our ads bring in enquiries, so we spend less on advertising that doesn't work.
We don't sell your personal information, and we never will.
Who we share it with
We only share what's needed, with the services that help us run the business:
ServiceM8, our job management system (job cards, scheduling, quotes and invoices).
Xero, our accounting software.
Pylon, our solar design and quoting software.
Google, for email, documents and the address suggestions on our forms (Google Maps).
Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure our ads (see below).
Our email delivery provider, for the automatic emails our website and referral program send.
The secure cloud database behind our website forms, staff tools and referral program.
Suppliers and authorities where the job needs it: for example, your energy distributor (such as Energex) for solar and battery connections, the Clean Energy Regulator for rebates, and the Electrical Safety Office or other regulators where the law requires.
Some of these services store information on servers outside Australia. We choose well-established providers that protect the information they hold.
Cookies and advertising
Our website uses cookies, including the Meta Pixel, to understand how visitors use the site and whether our ads lead to enquiries.
When you send an enquiry through our website, and later if you book a site visit or go ahead with a job, we share limited details with Meta to measure our advertising. Your email address, phone number, name and suburb are scrambled into a code (hashed) on our side before they are sent, so Meta can match them to its own records without receiving them in readable form. We also share the job value of work you go ahead with. We never share your full address, your answers about your home or budget, or our notes about your job.
Meta uses this to tell us which ads are working and to show our ads to people who are likely to be interested. You can control the ads you see in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep job records, including certificates and invoices, for at least seven years, because tax, electrical safety and warranty obligations require it. If you enquire but don't go ahead, we keep your details for up to two years in case you come back to us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
How we look after it
Your information is kept in password-protected systems that only our team can access. Our staff tools sit behind a secure login, and we only give access to the people who need it to do their job.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your information
You can ask us at any time to:
show you the personal information we hold about you,
correct anything that's wrong, or
delete your details, unless we have to keep them by law (for example, invoices and compliance certificates).
Just get in touch using the details below and we'll sort it out within 30 days.
Questions or complaints
If you have a question about your privacy, or you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first and we'll do our best to fix it:
