Ask a Sparky Day Giveaway: Terms and Conditions

The Giveaway

1. This giveaway is run by Amp Me Up Electrical (ABN 45 699 117 934, QLD Electrical Contractor Licence 1513636), the promoter, at Ask a Sparky Day, Beacon Lighting Underwood, on Saturday 17 October 2026.

2. Entries open on Saturday 17 October 2026 and close at 5 pm on Saturday 17 October 2026. One entry per person. Entry is free and no purchase is needed to enter.

3. Entry is open to people aged 18 or over, for a property in South East Queensland within our service area. You must own the property, or have the owner's permission for the work.

4. You enter by completing the entry form at ampmeupelectrical.com.au/ask-a-sparky with your true first and last name, mobile number, email address and street address.

   
   

The Prize

1. There is one prize: the installation of one Beacon Lighting ceiling fan by Amp Me Up Electrical, covering the labour and installation materials for that fan only.

2. The prize does not include the fan itself. The fan must be a Beacon Lighting fan. We cannot install a fan from any other supplier under this giveaway. We are happy to help you choose one.

3. If you would like us to supply the fan, it must be paid for in full before the installation date is booked.

4. Installing a fan is an alteration to a circuit, so the work must meet AS/NZS 3000 (the Wiring Rules). If your existing lighting circuit or switchboard does not meet the standard, extra work may be needed before the fan can legally be installed. That work, including any switchboard upgrade, is not part of the prize. We will explain what is needed and quote it separately, and you can decide whether to go ahead.

5. The location for the fan must have ceiling access so the fan can be installed.

6. On the ground floor of a two storey home, the fan can only replace an existing light or fan, and it must be a DC fan, because no additional cabling can be run on the downstairs floor.

7. The prize is for the winner only. It cannot be transferred to another person or exchanged for cash.

8. The installation is booked at a time that suits you and us, and is carried out under our standard terms and conditions.

   
   

The Draw

1. All valid entries go into the draw, and the winner is picked at random on Saturday 17 October 2026 at 7pm.

2. The draw is shown on a live stream, then recorded and posted to our social media.

3. The winner is contacted immediately after the draw by phone and email. We will try to contact the winner up to three times within one week. If there is no response in that time, the prize is forfeited and redrawn.

4. An entry is only valid if the details given are true and correct. If a false name, email address, mobile number or address was given, that entry is invalid. If it is drawn, the prize is redrawn.

5. The winner's first name and suburb may be announced on our social media.

   
   

The Beacon Lighting 20% Off Code

1. Everyone who enters is sent a 20% off retail price code for Beacon Lighting by text message to the mobile number they entered. The code is issued by Beacon Lighting, Beacon Lighting's own conditions apply to it, and it is separate from the draw.
